5-Day Chaoshan (Shantou, Jieyang & Chaozhou) Cultural & Coastal Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Chaoshan (Shantou)

Meals: None
Accommodation: 4-star hotel in downtown Shantou
Transport: Private transfer
Itinerary: Arrive in Chaoshan by flight or train and enjoy a private transfer to a four-star hotel in downtown Shantou for check-in. Free time to explore local food streets such as Zhujiang Road Food Street or Xima Road in Chaozhou, where you may taste local specialties including rice noodle rolls, Longjiang braised pork knuckle rice, and herbal fruit snacks.

Day 2: Shantou → Jieyang

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch
Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Chaoshan urban area
Transport: Air-conditioned coach
Itinerary: After breakfast, visit the Chaoshan History & Culture Expo Center and explore the Shantou Xiaogongyuan Opening Port Area, including the historic Shantou Qing Dynasty Post Office. Enjoy a ride on the popular local ferry before lunch featuring a Chaozhou-style Goose Feast. In the afternoon, travel to Jieyang Ancient City to visit Shuangfeng Temple, Jieyang Confucius Temple, and Jinxian Gate. In the evening, watch the large-scale Yingge dance stage show “The Return of the Tide” before returning to the hotel.

Day 3: Nan'ao Island Exploration

Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Chaoshan urban area
Transport: Air-conditioned coach / Boat
Itinerary: After breakfast, drive across Nan'ao Bridge to Nan'ao Island. Visit Qihang Square, Changshanwei Lighthouse, the 23°N Latitude Landmark, and the colorful Rainbow Walkway. Enjoy island experiences including boat sightseeing, oyster harvesting and tasting, and drone photography to capture scenic views. Lunch features a Lobster & Abalone Seafood Meal. In the afternoon, visit the Tropic of Cancer Marker Tower and relax at Qing'ao Bay Beach before returning to the city hotel.

Day 4: Chaozhou Cultural Heritage Tour

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch

Transport: Air-conditioned coach
Itinerary: After breakfast, transfer to Chaozhou and visit Longhu Ancient Village, Thai Buddhist Temple, and Han Yu Memorial Temple (closed on Mondays). Enjoy lunch featuring Chaoshan Beef Hot Pot with Satay Sauce. In the afternoon, explore Chaozhou Ancient City, including Guangji Bridge, Guangji Gate Tower, Kaiyuan Temple, and Paifang Street.
